David A. Wells, 55, of Portland, died Friday, June 12, 2015. Mr. Wells was a native and life long resident of Portland and a member of the Portland United Methodist Church. He was an avid fisherman and he enjoyed visiting with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John C. Wells, Jr., and Dollie Casali Wells; a sister, Jo Curtis; two brothers, James (Matt) Wells in 2009 and John (Buddy) Wells in 2013 and a nephew, Gaylon Douglas Vestal in 2004.
He is survived by two sisters, Marcia Vestal of Portland and Susan Fondren of Tallulah, Louisiana; two brothers, Frank Wells of Dermott and Bobby Wells of Nixa, Missouri and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial will be 10 a.m., Monday, June 15, 2015 in the Portland Cemetery with Stanton Veazey officiating. Memorials may be made to the Portland Cemetery Association, PO Box 174, Portland, AR 71663.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
