Charlotte Bolin Johnson Obituary

Charlotte Bolin Johnson, 69, Of Crossett, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018, with rare diseases, Scleraderma Pulmonary Hypertension/PVOD.  Charlotte was a native and lifelong resident of Ashley County and a 1966 graduate of Fountain Hill High School.  Charlotte was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in North Crossett.

Charlotte’s career started in the media industry in 1966, when she was on the annual staff at Fountain Hill High School.  She continued that journey, working and co-owning the Ashley News Observer, until retirement.  She worked in and mastered every department of the paper, other than the press.  She always greeted her customers with her beautiful smile and helpful, patient attitude. In this world, most people love and accept people who love and accept them.  But not Charlotte, she truly loved and accepted people no matter their actions.  She has shown unconditional love in her marriage, to her children, grandchildren, extended family and friends.  You never knew if Charlotte was having a bad day.  She was a lover of nature and all things natural.  She found contentment and satisfaction in God’s creation, especially, birds and flowers. Her philosophy was, “When you can give nothing else, you can always give a smile”

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Virgia Lou Hollis Bolin and R.C. (Romey Clifton) "Dick" Bolin; four brothers, Ray, Kenneth, Billy and Nem Bolin and one nephew, Wayne Bolin.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Larry Johnson; two sons, Brent Dewayne Johnson of Conway and Darren Michael Johnson and Krystal Terrell of Crossett; a special niece, who was more like a daughter, Kristi Stocker of Crossett; four granddaughters, Katie, Julie, Bentleigh and soon to be “Baby” Charlotte; one sister, Norma Allison of Fountain Hill, and a host of nieces and nephews; a caregiver, who she affectionately called “her Angel”, Tina Herrington of Crossett.

A special thank you to DR. Dietzen; DR. Gresham and ACMC Home Health Care Nurses for their love and care.
