C.B. Harriman

C. B. Harriman, 78, of Hamburg, died Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett.  Mr. Harriman was a native and lifelong resident of Hamburg.  He graduated from Hamburg High School and he was in the United States Army Reserves for four years.  He worked for Jones Funeral Home and he retired in 1992 from the United States Postal Service after 30 years, the last 12 years as Post Master.  He was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Crossett.  He loved to camp, hunt, fish, travel and cook for his church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cordel & Claude Locke Harriman; a brother, Morril Harriman and a step-son, Nick Upshaw.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Shirley Eaves Harriman of Hamburg; three sons, Steve Harriman and wife, Stacey, of Hamburg, Corey Harriman and wife, Candace, and Craig Harriman and wife, Misty, all of Dallas, Texas; a step-son, Joe Upshaw of Crossett; a sister, Kathryn Carter of Bossier City, Louisiana; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A Requiem Mass will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church with Father Bob Allen officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 909 Hickory Street, Crossett, AR 71635.
