Bonnie Pearl Ellis, 86, of Eudora, died Friday, March 9, 2018. Mrs. Ellis was a native of Chicot County and a resident of Eudora for the past 74 years. She worked at the Eudora Garment Factory for 34 years and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her garden, reading and canning.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ester H. Ellis; a daughter, Patsy Ellis Stephenson; a son, Lester C. Ellis; her parents, Oscar and Evelyn Haynes Ward; a brother, Benny Ward and two sisters, Marie Sivils and Lucille Atkins.
She is survived by a son, Randall Alan Ellis of Eudora; two grandsons, Steven Ellis of Maumelle and Brian Keith Ellis of Fayetteville, North Carolina; four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Gay officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers are Lawrence Edwards, Bo Edwards, Anson Smith, Mikey Smith, Kenny Clark and Bo Atkins. Honorary pallbearers are Dean Hale and Bill Welch.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday at the church.
