Blanch Lajoy Byers, 85, of Hamburg, died Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Stonegate Villa Health and Rehabilitation Center in Crossett. Mrs. Byers was a native of Georgetown, Arkansas; a resident of the Milo Community outside of Hamburg for the past 34 years and a former resident of Eau Claire, Michigan for many years. She was a homemaker and loved working around her home doing housework. She was a member of the Eden Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Byers in 1994; a great-granddaughter, Margot Rose Miller; her parents, Duncan and Stella Stringfield Height; three brothers, Franklin, Dwight and John Height and a son-in-law, Everett McClain.
She is survived by a daughter, Debbie McLain of Hamburg; two sons, Ken Byers of Hamburg and Mark Byers of Buchanan, Michigan; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Eden Baptist Church with Rev. J.W. Dobbins officiating. Burial will be in the Eden Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Eden Cemetery Association, c/o Mr. Jerry Stanley, 747 HWY 8 West, Hamburg, AR 71646.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
