Billy Dewayne Nelms, 49, of Snyder, died Monday, October 5, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Nelms was a native and life long resident of Snyder. He was a logger and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. He loved listening to gospel music, fishing, mudding and he loved nature.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John & Emma Streeter Nelms and Floyd & Minnie Laverne Kelley.
He is survived by his parents, A.B & Barbara Kelley Nelms of Snyder, a sister, Patricia Lambert and husband, Cory, of Jonesboro; four brothers, David Nelms of Snyder, Ronnie Nelms and wife, Bernice, of Hamburg, Roger Nelms and wife, Lesley, and James Nelms all of Snyder and 7 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Fellowship Baptist Church with Bro. Terry Greenwood officiating. Burial will be in the Greene Cemetery north of Snyder. Pallbearers are Johnny Mack Williams, Brandon Patrick, Wayne Oliver, Chris Hammons, Mart Nelms and John Paul Kelley. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital, PO Box 2222, Little Rock, AR 72203.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
