Beatrice Rice

            Beatrice Rice, 85, of Boydell, died Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village.  Mrs. Rice was a native of Ashley County and a resident of Boydell for 63 years.  She was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife.  She was a member of the Montrose Baptist Church and she loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and especially her great-grandchildren.

            She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Rice in 2005; a son, Lamar Rice in 2004; her parents, Glenn & Rosa Lee Henry Breedlove; a sister, Glenda Mae Eubanks and a brother, Travis Breedlove.

            She is survived by a daughter, Kay Hetland and husband, Tommy; a son, Mark Rice and wife, Lynne, all of Boydell; 8 grandchildren, Nicole Menard, Tabitha Hetland, Adam, Aaron, Alex, Jared and Nicholas Rice and Justin Manley and five great-grandchildren, Jordan Kay Menard and Ty Menard, Paisley, Georgia and Lily Rice.

            Funeral services are 11 a.m., Thursday, June 4, 2015 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Mason officiating.  Burial will be in the Montrose Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Steve Clemets, Ricky Russell, Glen Reynolds, Adam Rice, Nicholas Rice, Jared Rice, Aaron Rice, Ty Menard and Justin Manley. 

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home
