Bea Myers Herron

            Bea Myers Herron, 86, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Grace Home Inpatient Hospice in Alexandria, Louisiana.  Mrs. Herron was a native of Wilmot; a resident of Hamburg for over 45 years and a resident of Bastrop for the past year.  She owned and operated Sammy’s Restaurant for many years and she was a member of the Gardner Baptist Church.

            She is preceded in death by her husbands, Hubert W. Myers in 1990 and Marion “Shank” Herron in 2008; her parents, Colvin & Mamie Haynes Sammons and three brothers, Lacloys, Dupree and Olvis Sammons.

            She is survived by a daughter, Laura Etheridge of Bastrop, Louisiana; a brother, Sidney Sammons and wife, Dolly, of Houston, Texas; a grandson, Ashley Etheridge and wife, Shelly, of Bastrop; three great-grandchildren, B.J. Etheridge, Brittany Russell and Annalichia Byrd; two great-great-grandchildren, Ashton Ponder and Johnathan Ponder and was Aunt Bea to a host of nieces and nephews.

            Graveside services are 3 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2015 in the Hamburg Cemetery with Bro. Danny Kelley officiating.  Pallbearers are Ashley Etheridge, B.J. Etheridge, Kevin Weant and Joe Byrd.  

Visitation will be 1-2:30 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home
