Stephen Oscar Miller, 35, of Crossett, died Sunday, July 1, 2012 at his residence outside of Crossett. Mr. Miller was a native and life long resident of Crossett. He graduated in 1995 from Crossett High School and he was a member of the First Church of God of Crossett. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Arkla Taylor, Inc. in El Dorado for 17 years. He loved eagles and liked to collect knives.
He is preceded in death by a brother, James Oliver Miller, Jr. in 2009; his grandfathers, Jimmy G. Stell and Wesley Oliver Miller and two uncles, David Oscar Miller and Kevin Miller.
He is survived by his companion, Tiffany Rowell; a son, Logan C. Miller; a daughter, Lindsey Miller; his parents, James & Patricia Stell Miller all of Crossett; a brother, Michael O. Miller and wife, Stephanie, of Colorado; his grandmothers, Barbara Stell Foster and LaFreda Miller Johnson both of Hamburg; two nieces, Rebecca & Hanna Miller; three nephews, Mason Cole & Trey Miller of Crossett and Wesley Miller of Camden and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the First Church of God in Crossett with Bro. Mike Ebert and Bro. Colby Harper officiating. Burial will be in the Carlock Cemetery. Pallbearers are T.J. Maxwell, Trey Miller, Carlton Maxwell, Don Crowell, Rusty Josey and Bodie Ozmet. Honorary pallbearers are the employees of Arkla Taylor, Inc. Memorials maybe made to the First Church of God Building Fund, 1501 Main Street, Crossett, AR 71635.
