Mr. Jack Bell, 77, of Parkdale, died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Bell was a native of Empire, Arkansas and a life long resident of Parkdale. He was a retired farmer, a Mason and a member of the Portland Masonic Lodge #499 where he had received his 50 year pin. He was a member of the Wilmot Baptist Church and he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by a son, Billy Bell in 1975 and his parents, Joseph Caldwell & Jewel Reynolds Bell.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Katie Smith Bell of Parkdale; a son, Joe Bell and wife, Renee, of Empire; a daughter, Nancy Everett and husband, Allen, of Jones, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Kathryn Parkerson, Joey Bell, Chad and Bryan Everett and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Philip Bowles officiating. Burial will be in the Parkdale Cemetery. Pallbearers are Chad Everett, Bryan Everett, Joey Bell, Brett Parkerson, James Lee Austin and Waylon Cain. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 N.
