Mrs. Amelia Fay McCone, 71, of Hamburg, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. Mrs. McCone was a native and life long resident of Hamburg. She graduated from Hamburg High School in 1958. She owned and operated McCone’s Flower and Gift Shop for many years before retiring to spend time with family and friends. She was a member of Gardner Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, William R. McCone in 2003; her parents, Lovell & Nell Chatham Sheiron and a sister, Martha Sheiron.

She is survived by two sons, Wade McCone and wife, Alicia, of Addison, Texas and Mike McCone of Hamburg; two sisters, Ann Allison of Hamburg and Kathryn Sheiron of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Meghan Fiero and husband, Jeff, of Houston, Texas, Roman McCone of Brinkley and Haley McCone of Alexandria, Louisiana and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial are 10 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2012 in the Hamburg Cemetery with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Memorials may be made to the Hamburg Cemetery Association, c/o Mrs. Nancy Spivey, 137 Ashley 26 Road, Hamburg, AR 71646.
